Cumberland Heights – nationally recognized alcohol and drug treatment center – welcomes Joey Darby as the new Chief Growth Officer, effective January 23, 2023.
Formerly serving as Chief Executive Officer of Riveted Marketing and Consulting, Darby brings over 12 years of experience in behavioral health management to Cumberland Heights.
“After an extensive search for this position, we were happy to find Joey who has both local ties and connections, but also is well-known nationally,” said Jay Crosson, Chief Executive Officer at Cumberland Heights. ” Joey has already been a great addition to our leadership team, building upon our great reputation of clinical excellence. We are optimistic that Joey will help spread the message of recovery found in all our brands.”
While at Riveted Marketing and Consulting, Darby additionally served as fractional Chief Marketing Officer for treatment centers specializing in eating disorders, mental health disorders, and SUD (substance use disorders). Prior to that, Darby oversaw admissions, business development, digital and web marketing, and the alumni team at Buckeye Recovery Network, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer.
Darby currently oversees both the admissions and business development teams at Cumberland Heights. Through coaching and training, Darby hopes to expand the reach and awareness in local treatment centers, therapists, and hospitals of services Cumberland Heights offers, and see Cumberland Heights become more of a leading presence when it comes to options of where to refer a patient.
“Cumberland Heights helps a lot of individuals. We want to help more people, but first and foremost, we want people to know we’re here and we’re an option for them, ” said Darby.
Darby’s mantra for 2023 is “remove barriers.” What he desires most of all is to help more people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction find hope, healing, and recovery.
“I want every call to have a home,” said Darby. “If they’re not a good fit for us, we find the right fit for them.”
About Cumberland Heights: Cumberland Heights’ mission is to transform lives, giving hope and healing to those affected by alcohol and drug addiction. For more than 56 years, we’ve helped those struggling rewrite their stories and live lives free from substances.
