Reaching New Heights

April 30, 2025

11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Cumberland Heights is excited to host Reaching New Heights 2025 on Wednesday, April 30, featuring keynote speaker Laurie Dhue. Proceeds from this year’s event will directly support the Women’s Program at Cumberland Heights.

The Women’s Program provides a safe, home-like environment in women-only spaces with female staff. Funds raised will help:

  • Provide patient assistance funding
  • Renovate the women’s residence
  • Support staff training and development
  • Supply essential materials and books
  • Advance future program projects

At Cumberland Heights, our mission is to transform lives, giving hope and healing to those affected by drug and alcohol addiction. We are grateful to our sponsors, patrons, and supporters who make this event possible. Sheila Keeble Award

Honoring a woman who has made a difference in the recovery community

Cumberland Heights is pleased to present the 2025 Sheila Keeble Award to Peggy Craig.

Peggy Craig’s enthusiasm for helping people seeking recovery began in her youth when she witnessed her parents’ dedication to Cumberland Heights’ lifesaving mission. Peggy’s mother, Polly Craig, was a tireless advocate for substance abuse awareness. Peggy’s father, Mike Craig, served on the Board of Directors for two decades, which included eight years as President during a time of tremendous growth and change in the early years of the organization.

Peggy’s desire to help others and her understanding of the importance of Cumberland Heights’work led her to join the board in 2016. She currently serves on the Executive and Endowment Committees, and she chairs the Program Committee, which has deepened her appreciation for the compassionate and individualized care provided to each person served. Amazed at the devotion and active participation of her fellow board members, Peggy said, “I understand how easy it is to have such dedication, when you see what every single employee gives to this organization daily.”

Board member Frank Wade said, “What I love about Peggy is she is so effective and unassuming in her work to help individuals on their path to recovery. People respect her so much on a personal and professional level. She has a heart for the mission of Cumberland Heights and for people in recovery and it shows.”

Peggy has been a supportive member of the Reaching New Heights and Breakfast of Champions committees, lending her much appreciated advice, experience, and influence. She is excited about the Recovery in Community initiative and continues to connect Cumberland Heights with generous donors who share her passion for our mission.

Peggy enjoyed a career in banking for over 45 years, starting with Commerce Union Bank and retiring after 13 years with Truxton Trust. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her MBA from Emory University. In addition to her work on the board at Cumberland Heights, Peggy has also served on the boards of the West End Home Foundation, Cheekwood, the YWCA, and Junior League of Nashville.
