Overview:

This immersive six-hour training explores the dynamic intersection of the Enneagram Personality Typing System and the 12 Steps of recovery. Led by psychotherapist and bestselling author Ian Morgan Cron, participants will learn how each of the nine personality types uniquely resists, embraces, distorts, or deepens the work of the 12 Steps.

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model of recovery, this workshop equips clinicians, spiritual directors, chaplains, and other recovery professionals with type-specific insight into:

• How each type experiences powerlessness (Step 1)
• How ego defenses interfere with surrender (Steps 2–3)
• How shame, resentment, fear, and pride manifest differently (Steps 4–7)
• How relational repair and amends work varies by type (Steps 8–9)
• How ongoing spiritual maintenance (Steps 10–12) requires distinct practices by personality structure

Participants will leave with a nuanced clinical framework for integrating personality insight into addiction treatment, emotional sobriety, relapse prevention, and long-term spiritual growth.
