ABOUT THE CONCERT:
The Concert for Cumberland Heights began in 1996 to benefit the John Hiatt Fund for Adolescent and Young Adult Treatment, which provides support for programs and patient scholarship assistance.
Through the generosity of donors, the concert has raised more than $3.6 million over the years to bring hope and healing to teenagers, young adults, and their families.
CHARLES KELLEY
Stepping outside of one of the world’s most popular groups, Charles Kelley explores new territory with a raw sound that pushes his vocals into a lower, grittier key than what listeners have been hearing from him in a group setting. “The Driver” serves as the lead single from his upcoming first-ever solo release and was born in a ratty studio in the back of producer Paul Worley’s office. His unmatched perspective of hours spent on the road pursuing a life-long dream is present through his impeccable voice. In addition to his success as part of seven-time GRAMMY award-winning trio Lady A, Kelley has also penned No. 1 hits recorded by Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker.
“As a person two years into my sobriety journey, I have a strong connection to the work that Cumberland Heights does,” shared Charles Kelley. “I love that I’m able to lend my voice to help raise funds to help others struggling with the same condition.”
BOB DIPIERO
Since his first No. 1 hit in 1983, Hall of Fame Songwriter Bob DiPiero has been responsible for an uninterrupted string of country music hits. He has had over 1,000 songs recorded by other artists, countless hit singles, and an astounding fifteen No. 1 hits. Among his countless awards are 50 BMI Million-Air honors, multiple Songwriter of the Year awards and two consecutive Triple Play awards for three No. 1 songs within a 12-month period. In 2007, Bob was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Nashville’s Walk of Fame. In 2014, the Country Music Hall of Fame honored Bob with their prestigious “Poets and Prophets Series: Salute to Legendary Songwriter Bob DiPiero” and the Country Music Association also presented Bob with the CMA Chairman’s Award. On November 7, 2017, Bob DiPiero received yet another incredible honor when BMI presented him with their prestigious Icon Award celebrating his outstanding career achievement and honoring his unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.
VICTORIA SHAW
The Nashville-based, New York-born, Los Angeles-raised triple threat has either written or produced some of music’s most memorable tunes and performed on the world’s biggest stages.
Victoria’s No. 1 compositions include Garth Brooks “The River” and “She’s Every Woman,” Ricky Martin’s “Solo Quiero Amarte,” Doug Stone’s “Too Busy Being in Love,” Jim Brickman’s “Sending You a Little Christmas” and “I Love the Way You Love Me,” recorded by John Michael Montgomery and Boyzone. Other hits include Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera’s duet “Nobody Wants to Be Lonely” and the Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood duet “Where Your Road Leads.”
Shaw is the recipient of an ACM award for Song of the Year, two daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Original Song, four Emmy nominations and numerous ASCAP and SESAC awards. She has performed throughout the world, including opening for Garth Brooks in Central Park, playing the London Palladium, and touring with her friend and frequent collaborator, Jim Brickman.
Shaw is also a music producer including co-producing Lady Antebellum’s debut album for which Shaw won a 2009 CMA award for Single of the Year, “I Run to You.”
RANDY MONTANA
Hit country songwriter Randy Montana is a master of many moods. He can put his power behind an achingly bittersweet ballad like Carly Pearce; Lee Brice’s “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” shake off wrecked romance with a shrugging smirk on Luke Combs’ “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” and turn gently reflective on George Strait’s “When the Credits Roll.” But wherever Montana’s coming from, he makes an emotional spark every time out.
THE WARREN BROTHERS
The Warren Brothers are a songwriting duo that have written hits for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Chris Young to name a few. They started as recording artists and made 3 records for BNA records.
Their sense of humor has landed them a series on CMT, celebrity judges on “Nashville Star,” part time radio personalities, and they’ve even had a few film cameos. They won a daytime Emmy for outstanding original song for “Good Afternoon America”. They were Nominated for a Grammy for best country song “If You’re Reading This” (Tim McGraw) and CMA song of the year “Anyway” (Martina McBride).
DYLAN ALTMAN
Originally from the great state of New Jersey, Dylan Altman has been writing and performing in Nashville since 1994. He has had three No. 1 songs: Tim McGraw’s “Watch The Wind Blow By,” Jake Owen’s “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” Jason Aldean’s “Take A Little Ride,” as well as Chase Bryant’s top ten hit “Take It On Back”. Other artists who have recorded his songs include Trace Adkins, Eli Young Band, Joe Nichols, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. He’s also the host of his own cooking/music show on YouTube, Dylan Altman’s Soul Stew.
Ernest
Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow), a triple threat talent and one of Music City’s on the rise artist/writers who is changing the status quo. A 2022 Variety Hitmaker, the chart-topping songwriter fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, crafting a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle, and earning him eight #1 hits to date. The eccentric free spirit and 2022 CMA Triple Play Award winner will release the deluxe edition of his critically acclaimed album FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM) on February 10, 2023, rebranding the collection FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses, doubling its track list with 13 fresh cuts. The March 2022-released original has been praised as one of Holler and The Tennessean‘s best albums of the year, showcasing the more classically country side of his craft. Nashville’s “busiest – and most consistently successful – creative force” (The Tennessean) wrapped his first-ever sold-out headlining Sucker For Small Towns Tour this past fall, and will hit the road in March as direct support on Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour.
Eric Paslay
Country artist Eric Paslay delivers a powerful punch as a renowned Platinum-selling, GRAMMY nominated hit songwriter, artist, and performer. He’s celebrated five No.1 hits, with four of those ranked among the “Top 100 Songs of the Decade” by Country Aircheck, including the #1 spot on that chart with “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” as recorded by Jake Owen. The Temple, Texas native has earned numerous songwriter award nominations including GRAMMY’s Best Country Song, ACM’s Song of the Year twice and the CMA Song of The Year as well as an artist GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “The Driver”- a collaboration with friends Charles Kelley and Dierks Bentley. Eric continues to see success as a songwriter, having co-penned Keith Urban’s 2022 hit “Wild Hearts.” And his latest album, a compilation of reimagined versions of Eric’s biggest hits as a writer and artist, Even If It Breaks Your Barefoot Friday Night, is available now. A true artist’s artist USA Today calls Paslay “flat out-brilliant” and American Songwriter names him an influencer of country music.
Vince Gill
One of the most popular artists in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor, all wrapped up in a quick and easy wit. Gill achieved his big breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name,” which won both the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male. Since then, Gill has won 17 additional CMA Awards, including Song of the Year four times – making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history, and a total of 22 Grammy Awards, his most recent one for Best Country Solo Performance – “When My Amy Prays.” The Academy of Country Music has conferred on Gill eight awards, including its Home Depot Humanitarian Award and the Career Achievement Award.
A gifted songwriter, Gill’s compositions earned him the prestigious BMI Icon award in 2014, and entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.
In 2007, Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and in 2012 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame which was placed in cement right next to his wife Amy Grant’s star. In 1991, Gill was invited to become a member of The Grand Ole Opry, a position he treasures. He continues to perform on that historic stage on a regular basis.
Throughout his career he has released 20 albums, sold over 30 million albums, and charted 45 singles.
Known for his many collaborations, Gill has made guest appearances on more than 1000 albums, and has performed and/or recorded with artists such as Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, Sting, Emmylou Harris, Diana Krall, Jimmy Webb, Bruno Mars, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and George Jones. His collaborative efforts also include albums he has produced for Amy Grant, Ashley Monroe, The Time Jumpers and Wendy Moten.
Always considering himself a musician above all else, Gill has over the years been a part of some iconic bands including Pure Prairie League, The Cherry Bombs, and The Time Jumpers. In 2017 Vince was asked to join the Eagles on the road and continues to be a part of that historic band’s tour.
Gill’s current album, the critically acclaimed OKIE, is his most personal album, as he sings about his wife in prayer, about kindness and forgiveness, about his heroes in death, and about his own loves, joys, and regrets.
