Screen addiction, a growing concern in today’s digital age, refers to the compulsive and excessive use of electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers. This addiction can manifest in various ways, including excessive social media scrolling, compulsive gaming, and constant internet browsing. The constant stimulation and dopamine release associated with screen time can lead to a cycle of dependency, negatively impacting mental health, physical well-being, and social relationships. Individuals struggling with screen addiction may experience difficulty focusing, sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, and social isolation. Recognizing the signs and implementing strategies to manage screen time is crucial for maintaining a healthy balance between technology and real-life experiences.
