Annette Barbee joined Cumberland Heights in 2025 as Staff Development Coordinator, bringing over two decades of experience in training and development within nonprofits and ministry-focused organizations. Her passion lies in serving those in need, and her personal connection to substance use disorder drives her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the recovery field. Annette is deeply fulfilled by witnessing the resilience of those in recovery, embracing the opportunity to see each individual for who they truly are—not defined by their addiction, but empowered by their journey.

A proud Minnesota native, Annette shares fun connections with pop culture—she was born in the same state as Prince, graduated from Charles Schulz’s high school, and was named after Mouseketeer Annette Funicello. She’s a music lover, aspiring author, and sports enthusiast who once dreamed of working at ESPN, but feels grateful to be right where she belongs—supporting transformation, growth, and hope.
