Chrissy Benson is a Float Counselor in the Women’s Program at Cumberland Heights, where she has been part of the team since 2025. A recent graduate with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Chrissy brings a diverse professional background as a licensed attorney, legal writer, published author, and certified health and nutrition coach. Her passion for healing and personal growth led her to train in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy in 2014, which she continues to integrate into her work alongside mindfulness and nutrition education.
Chrissy’s journey in recovery began through her own 12-Step experience, inspiring her to help others find hope and healing. She finds fulfillment in witnessing patients rediscover their potential and embrace self-love and transformation.
Originally from New York, Chrissy moved to Nashville in 2017. A daily runner and marathoner, she also enjoys meditation, vegan living, and creative expression—including her novel Marrying Myself, which celebrates the theme of self-love.
