Daniel Gerbis, LADAC

Primary Counselor

Daniel Gerbis serves as the counselor for the Men’s Extended Care Program at Cumberland Heights and has been a dedicated team member for over 13 years. He began his journey at Cumberland Heights as a Clinical Associate and has also served as a Case Manager and Counselor in the Men’s Program. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and previously spent 15 years managing car dealerships in Phoenix before relocating to Nashville in 2006.

After beginning his own recovery journey, Daniel felt called to give back and found purpose in helping others. Guided by his sponsor and Higher Power, he joined Cumberland Heights to be a part of the life-changing work that supported him in his own healing.

Daniel is most fulfilled by helping patients rediscover hope and believe in the possibility of change. He has been married for ten years and has four adult children and an Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix. He enjoys hiking, being near water, and writing haiku poetry.
