Primary Counselor

Ebonye Dillard is the Primary Counselor at the Memphis Outpatient Recovery Center and has been a dedicated member of the Cumberland Heights team since 2016. Over her 10+ years with the organization, Ebonye has contributed across nearly every clinical department—from Women’s and Men’s Programs to Adolescent Services, Still Waters Women, Admissions, and even Medical Records. Her breadth of experience makes her an invaluable part of the Cumberland Heights community.

Ebonye holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently completing her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She began her work in addiction recovery nearly 17 years ago after volunteering at a Nashville halfway house—a turning point that inspired her to become a counselor.

Ebonye finds deep meaning in helping others rediscover hope and purpose, using a trauma-informed approach to help clients understand their “why.” A child of a parent with addiction, Ebonye’s work has also allowed her to find healing and connection in her own story.
