Natalie Balmaseda is a Primary Counselor in the Young Men’s Program at Cumberland Heights. She began her journey with the organization in 2022 as an intern and has since held multiple roles, including Float Counselor and Men’s Family Counselor, before stepping into her current position.
Natalie holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, where she specialized in addiction treatment. Her passion for the field began in 2012 after attending Cumberland Heights’ Family Program for a loved one. That experience left a lasting impact and sparked a desire to be part of the recovery community.
She finds deep fulfillment in helping young people envision and build lives they once thought impossible. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys hiking, painting, and getting lost in a good book.
