Professionals in safety-sensitive occupations, such as medical professionals, attorneys, and pilots, hold positions of significant responsibility and public trust. Cumberland Heights offers a specialized treatment program designed to address their specific needs and support these professionals in returning to their duties safely.
Our Evaluation Program​
Cumberland Heights provides an in-depth assessment conducted by our team of experts, including medical professionals, psychologists, and addiction specialists. This thorough four-day evaluation helps in identifying the specific needs, underlying issues, and potential co-occurring disorders of each professional. The goal of this assessment is to identify any substance use disorder or other factors that may hinder their professional performance, and to make recommendations that can provide for a safe return to work. This assessment concludes with a formal report detailing recommendations for continued care, if necessary.
Professionals Extended Care Program
Following the initial evaluation and your residential stay, our Professionals Extended Care Program offers a continuum of care designed to support long-term recovery and reintegration into professional life. This program includes:
- Individualized Therapy: One-on-one counseling sessions with experienced therapists to address personal challenges and develop coping strategies.
- Group Therapy: Profession-specific group sessions that provide a supportive environment for professionals to share experiences, gain insights, and build a recovery community.
- Work-Life Balance Workshops: Training and workshops focused on managing stress, maintaining work-life balance, and developing healthy lifestyle habits.
- Career Counseling: Guidance and support for returning to work, including strategies for managing triggers, maintaining sobriety in a professional setting, and handling workplace dynamics.
- Family Involvement: Family therapy sessions and educational programs to help families understand addiction and support their loved one's recovery journey.
