When Is Residential Treatment Appropriate?
Addiction residential services, also known as inpatient rehabilitation or residential treatment programs, offer a structured and supportive environment for individuals struggling with substance use disorder (i.e., addiction). These programs are designed to provide intensive treatment and support for a specified period, typically up to thirty days.

Addiction residential services, also known as inpatient rehabilitation or residential treatment programs, offer a structured and supportive environment for individuals struggling with substance use and addiction. These programs are designed to provide intensive treatment and support for a specified period, typically ranging from a few weeks to several months. Residential services are offered at our River Road and ARCH Academy locations.
Residential services serve individuals who have a primary substance use disorder diagnosis or are battling other co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder.

- 24/7 Support & SupervisionOur teams are always onsite to monitor and maintain safety at all times.
- Individual TherapyWe offer weekly individual therapy sessions with a person’s primary counselor. Patients may have other individual sessions with specialty therapists as their needs dictate.
- Group Therapy We offer 5 group therapy sessions a week.
- Evidenced-Based TherapyAt Cumberland Heights, evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) are used to provide comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that address the psychological, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction recovery.

- Experiential Therapy We offer various experiential therapies like music therapy, high ropes, art therapy, and more.
- Medical & PsychiatryFull-time, board-certified addiction treatment doctors committed to serving each patient.
- Alumni Care Planning for Alumni Care begins on the first day of treatment. Our entire team is focused on equipping each patient and family with the tools needed to navigate recovery after they leave our program.
