Telehealth for Addiction Treatment
Patients can engage in our telehealth programs from anywhere in the state of Tennessee. We offer telehealth as part of our outpatient recovery services and individual therapy services.
What Is Telehealth?
Telehealth allows patients to receive healthcare virtually, through smart phones, computers, tablets, and other devices. Telehealth participants are able to meet with their counselor, attend group therapy, and receive support from our Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.
Research shows that a blend of in-person and virtual services for addiction treatment is effective. More specifically, telehealth services have shown effectiveness in SUD populations across broad delivery systems (e.g. Telephonic, Video, SMS, Smartphone Application, Web-based Intervention, and Virtual Reality). Common predictors of SUD telehealth treatment outcomes include: therapeutic alliance, craving, and proficiency in technology use.
Telehealth and Outpatient Services
Our telehealth programs provide unique advantages for patients who cannot physically attend sessions at one of our Intensive Outpatient Programs. Telehealth has allowed us to increase our access across the state of Tennessee to those who are unable to travel to one of our outpatient locations. Patients who choose tele-intensive outpatient (tele-IOP) as their desired treatment service can expect the following treatment experience:
- Online individual and group therapy
- Comprehensive assessment and program orientation
- HIPAA and CFR 42 Compliant Telehealth Platform
- Urine drug screen participation
